#TheSk80s Contest

Love 80s figure skating? No duh!

#TheSk80s contest is a totally tubular way to vote for the raddest skaters of the decade.

Here's how it works:

Every day, a new poll will be posted on the blog's Twitter/X account.

In round one, 80 skaters/teams will be put into groups of four using a random generator. Each poll will have one man, one woman, one pairs team and one ice dance team. There will be twenty consecutive daily polls and top two skater(s) receiving the most votes will advance to the second round.

In round two, 40 skaters/teams will be put in groups of four using a random generator. There will be ten daily polls and only the winners will advance to the final round.

In the third and final round, the remaining skaters/teams will be featured in a post and you will comment with your vote for your favourite skater or team from the group. Those who vote in this round will be put in a draw to receive a free advance copy of "Sequins, Scandals & Salchows: Figure Skating in the 1980s" - print or digital, your choice! To be eligible to win, you must be following Skate Guard Blog on Twitter/X.

Make your voice heard and celebrate some of the most bodacious figure skaters of the decade!
